HIKMICRO FP21 fire service thermal imaging camera

The FP21 is a pocket-sized thermal imaging camera with a resolution of 256 × 192 pixels and a thermal sensitivity of 30 mK. Thanks to its IP67 protection and impact-resistant PPSU housing, this camera is resistant to dust, water and extreme temperatures. The camera has a bright 3.2" LCD screen, various colour palettes and digital zoom (1×, 2×, 4×).

The FP21 can measure temperatures from –20 °C to 150 °C (expandable to 550 °C), has a battery life of up to 6 hours and a built-in memory of 4 GB.

With its robust design, the FP21 is ideal for firefighters, maintenance technicians and inspections in harsh conditions.

Enhanced image quality with SuperIR

HIKMICRO's SuperIR technology is powered by a neural network algorithm trained on a massive dataset of images to improve the quality of thermal images. The FP21 features real-time SuperIR, significantly improving image clarity while maintaining smooth performance.

High brightness in pocket size: 3.2-inch LCD + pocket-sized design

Most portable imagers compromise on image quality. The FP series offers a large screen that is easy to read and truly pocket-sized convenience – ideal for teams in the field who need to get started quickly.

Automatic AGC

HIKMICRO AGC dynamically adjusts the gain for each pixel based on the temperature distribution of the scene. In thermal images, background areas with small temperature differences often appear flat. Auto AGC increases the contrast in those areas, revealing subtle features.

Enhance the contours of specific targets with ODE

False colour thermal overlays are based on temperature maps, which flatten visual details in warm areas. ODE improves clarity without altering the thermal data. When this feature is enabled on the HIKMICRO FP21, the contours of the target become clearer, but the noise in the image increases proportionally.

Robust reliability for demanding environments

The FP series has an IP67 rating: completely dustproof and waterproof up to 1 metre immersion for 30 minutes. The series is also certified for use in extreme heat. While most devices fail or perform less well in extreme heat, the FP series continues to operate normally.
